ClearBank Europe signs agreement with ByBit EU to provide banking infrastructure and safeguarding across Europe
- Strategic partnership provides Bybit EU with on/off-ramping and safeguarding services to support high-growth digital asset exchange
- Demonstrates ClearBank Europe’s growing presence in the digital asset sector, offering scalable, regulated infrastructure and access to EU markets
ClearBank, the enabler of real-time clearing and embedded banking, today announces a new strategic partnership with Bybit EU, the Vienna-headquartered crypto-asset service provider operating under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR), to deliver core banking infrastructure in support of its European growth.
Through this agreement, ClearBank Europe will provide safeguarding on customers’ accounts and on/off-ramping services, to enable Bybit EU’s customers to securely manage their funds and support seamless movement of funds between fiat and digital asset services across the region.
This partnership demonstrates ClearBank Europe’s growing expertise in providing digital asset firms with secure banking infrastructure that enables them to scale effectively. As the bank expands its presence across Europe, it is continuing to build out its offering and infrastructure to provide products and services to clients that enable them to grow.
Bybit EU selected ClearBank Europe due to its innovative cloud-based technology, which enables nimble onboarding and robust security measures, as well as its deep experience in the digital asset space. ClearBank Europe established the banking services relationship during Bybit EU’s pre-registration phase. Following receipt of its Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) licence, Bybit EU was then able to launch its platform and serve European customers.
The partnership with ClearBank Europe has provided the banking infrastructure supporting Bybit EU’s launch in the region, with the exchange now actively pursuing an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence to expand its offering. It is also preparing to use ClearBank Europe’s services to support its entry to the UK, as well as exploring further opportunities to enter additional markets.
