ClearBank selects suicide prevention charity, Campaign Against Living Miserably to be charity partner
ClearBank, the enabler of real-time clearing and embedded banking for financial institutions, today announced it has entered a 3-year partnership with suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). This collaboration marks ClearBank’s first long-term charity partnership, with a focused commitment to supporting mental health and suicide prevention.
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling low, standing up to stereotypes and standing together to show that life is always worth living. 125 lives are lost every week to suicide, and the charity exists to change this. Their helpline and webchat are open 365 days a year, offering practical suggestions for all of life’s problems - whether that’s anxiety, relationship concerns, health worries, money worries or suicidal thoughts. But they can’t do it alone; CALM needs others to stand with them and be the light that gives people hope in the most difficult of times.
By choosing CALM as a long-term charity partner, ClearBank is taking meaningful strides towards their Sustainability vision – to support and uplift vulnerable and underserved communities. CALM will also provide valuable support and guidance for the wellbeing of ClearBank employees with CALM’s suite of mental maintenance resources.
The focus of ClearBank’s partnership is to raise funds to support CALM’s suicide prevention work, including its life-saving helpline, but will also include volunteering and skills-based pro-bono work. CALM was selected by ClearBank employees from over 30 employee-nominated charities.
